250 for The 250th: Support capital improvements five generations in the making
Triad Cultural Arts Capital Improvements Campaign aims to raise $250,000 by June 30th to strengthen TCA’s role as a cultural and community anchor in Winston-Salem. Campaign funds will directly support capital improvements at the Shotgun House site, including restroom upgrades and gathering space/parking development directly across the street, so we can better host large schoolbuses, cultural programs, community gatherings like cookouts and reunions, and events. This investment is the last step in a 15-year restoration and construction project that ensures the Shotgun House museum can thrive on the hill into perpetuity.
Whether you’re a small business, large corporation, foundation, church or civic group or a private philanthropist, there’s a special place for your contribution to this campaign. Businesses and supporters who contribute will be recognized as partners in sustaining community-driven programming and preserving Black cultural heritage. Donors will be acknowledged at the Juneteenth Festival and invited to a special gathering at the Shotgun House to celebrate the campaign’s impact—and gifts will be acknowledged as part of our larger $15MM capital campaign.
