 Programming:

    Triad Cultural Arts presents educational programming which includes:

    Music – Concerts and music indigenous to African American culture such as jazz, blues, hip hop, and Gospel will be presented.

    Festivals – The major festival will be the Triad Juneteenth Festival. Juneteenth is the country’s longest running observance

    of the abolition of slavery. The Kwanzaa Celebration, held annually, will also be presented.

    Dance – A dance program will be developed to preserve, present and promote African American cultural heritage through

   traditional and contemporary styles of dance, to nurture artists, and choreographers.

    Art Exhibitions – Exhibitions will be held to promote local and regional artists who do not get an opportunity to exhibit and

    sell their works. 

    Workshops, Classes, CampsInstruction will be offered in six disciplines of the arts: Music, Visual Arts, Dance, Theatre

    Media Arts and Literature.

    Lectures and Forums– Presentations and discussions on subjects that address cultural social change will be held.

    Arts In Education – Working with school systems and other community organizations, we will present arts programs in

    schools to help children learn and grasp new ideas and knowledge.

    Genealogy – Programs will be held to help people research and learn more about their family history.

    Storytelling – Programs will be held to present Black writers-storytellers and the impact that their works have left on

    the Black family and society.

    Media Arts  - To help close the Digital Divide, programs will be held to introduce videography, digital photography,

    and other computer generated mediums.
